Mind Maps for Kids

This programme is specially designed for children between the ages of 6 to 12.  We have Buzan licensed instructor to teach children mind mapping technique with practical exercises in various subjects across the school curriculum.  Exercises are customized for local students.  All sessions are tailored to cater for different levels of intelligence, maturity and linguistic proficiency.  All sessions are conducted in English (Bilingual if necessary).

MM003:  

Mind Maps for English

This programme is designed to teach children how to apply Mind Mapping technique to English curriculum.  Practical exercises are well planned to improve children’s spelling, vocabulary, grammar, reading and essay writing.  Children learn to grasp the key concepts of the language with the use of Mind Maps.  The programme is aim at making English-learning fun and developing children’s interest to build a solid foundation for English development. 

MM004:  

Mind Maps for Math

This programme is designed to teach children how to apply Mind Mapping technique to Math curriculum.  Practical exercises are well planned to teach children important mathematical theories covering arithmetic, geometry, algebra and statistics.  Children learn how to grasp the key concepts of Math with the aid of Mind Maps.  Children are no longer afraid of complex mathematical formulas.  The programme helps children to discover the enjoyment of learning Math.

MM005:  

Mind Maps for Science

This programme is designed to teach children how to apply Mind Mapping technique to explore Science curriculum.  Practical exercises are well structured to teach children various essential aspects of Science.  Children will learn how to use mind maps to analyse various scientific theories, perform simple experiments and summarise observations and findings.  This programme encourages children to discover Science in a fun and fascinated way.

MM006:  

Mind Maps Revision Class

This revision class is designed to allow children to recap and reinforce the concepts and applications of the mind mapping techniques.  Through regular practices, children become fluent mappers.  Revision class provides a platform for them to share, discuss, explore and enrich their understanding.  By providing proper guidelines and supervision, children can sharpen their Mind Mapping skills, deepen their understanding on how to put them into practical use on various school subjects and at the end, build up confidence in learning.

ICON Learning

This programme is specially designed for children between the ages of 6 to 10.  By introducing the world greatest genius to children in a fun and interactive environment, children are encouraged to explore different interests including science, math, art, language, engineering, and many others.  Through understanding how the greatest imagine and think, children are inspired by their imagination, discoveries and inventions.  Children are uniquely coached to develop knowledge in multiple subjects.

Track One – Exploring Da Vinci’s Brain

To inspire children by one of the world greatest genius - Leonardo Da Vinci.  Children will explore Da Vinci’s note taking technique, his inventions, his paintings, his theory on connection and the principles of his thinking.  This programme encourages children to observe, think and act like the greatest in a fun and stimulating environment.

MM002:

Mind Maps for families

This programme is designed as a family activity for parents and children to work as a team in a fun, open and interactive environment.  In addition to learning the mind mapping technique, parents and children learn how to apply the technique in everyday family activities.  The ultimate goal of the programme is to enhance the mental literacy of the family and to reinforce continuous parenting and nourishing.  The programme addresses areas including memory, creativity, study and family value.  Our instructor will share with parents different methods to create fun, health and fascinating family activities.

MM007:  

Mind Maps for Subject Learning (I)

This workshop is designed to teach children several specific subjects using Mind Mapping technique.  Our aim is to increase awareness on selected subject areas and develop subject matter experts.  At the end of the workshop, children will acquire the subject knowledge as well as the mind mapping technique.  Subjects cover:

-          Time Management: The objective is to teach students how to get control of their time.  With practical exercises, students will understand the benefit of time management and will learn the skills to manage their time efficiently and effectively.  Learning effective time management technique at early age is essential for success and will help the student immensely in future academic and life challenges. 

-          Money Management: The objective is to help children to develop successful money management habits and financial responsibility.  Through interesting games, students will acquire basic understanding of money and how they can manage it sensibly.  Financial literacy is a critical lesson for children to learn.  Helping them in developing financial and money management skills at a young age will empower them to take control of their financial future for the rest of their lives.

-          Problem Solving and Decision Making: The objective is to teach children the problem solving and decision making techniques and encourage high-level thinking.  Through fun and interactive exercises, students will go through the problem solving process step-by-step allowing them to develop feelings of confidence, competence and mastery.  Acquiring decision making skills will empower children to deal with daily challenges and conflict in a respectful manner as well as building greater confidence, assertiveness, and leadership at a young age.

-          Communication Skills: The objective is to teach children communication skills by saying what they mean and listening with compassion.  Children will learn the fundamentals of effective communication skills through role-play exercises.  Being an effective communicator at a young age allowing children to articulate their needs, stand up for their beliefs, and develop confidence and leadership which equip them to be a happy and successful adult.

-          Project Management: The objective is to expose children to the concepts of project management.  Children learn how to plan, manage and execute a project.  During the programme, children will experience the completion of a successful project and through this achievement, to see the value of project management.  Developing project management skills help children to plan, manage, organize school works and solve problems in their studies, co-curricular pursuits, and extra-curricular activities. 

-          Goal Setting: The objective is to encourage children to start setting clear and well-defined lifetime goals.  By setting goals effectively at their young age, children can achieve more, improve their performance, increase their motivation to achieve, raise their pride and satisfaction in their achievements, boost their self-confidence, and become happier and more satisfied in their lifetime. 

-          Effective Questioning: The objective is to teach children different question techniques and develop questioning competencies.  Questioning is an important life skill and a major learning and thinking skill. When children become skilled questioners, they will develop better understanding, extend their learning by making connections and use higher-order thinking skills. Through questioning, children have an opportunity to express their curiosity and to stimulate curiosity in others. Effective questioning is a catalyst for critical and creative thinking skills.  Questioning skills are the basis for successful childhood development in a rapidly changing world.

-          Organization Skills: The objective is to teach children organization skills and graphic organization techniques. Children will learn to manage and control their personal information as well as to organize their activities and thoughts.  Through fun and interactive exercises, Children will develop their unique strategy to get organized.  Good organization skills transform children mindset and embrace a new positive thinking mentality as it makes a target appear much more achievable.  Effective organization skills create lifetime habits and set the stage for success in school and in life

MM008: 

Mind Maps for Young Readers

Reading a text quickly is not productive unless the information is being retained efficiently.  This programme is designed to teach children the right reading approach/processes and to develop an effective reading skill by applying Mind Mapping technique.  With practical exercises, children increase their comprehension and reading rate.  Reading effectively helps to gain and understand massive information, commit knowledge to memory, obtain board overviews and different opinions, improve vocabulary, save time in revision and study, gain confidence and be entertained.

Intelligence is the ability to have and create useful knowledge. A brain filled with unrelated knowledge that you do not understand or know how to use is not an intelligent brain.  We need to read and store information so that it can be understood and used in a related, associated and organised way.

This programme is designed to help students to improve their ability to learn and to achieve better exam results in school. Pre-schoolers

Every pre-schooler is an active learner.  This programme aims at teaching pre-schoolers the world's best learning and thinking tool to unleash their potential and equip them well for transition to primary school.  Pre-schoolers will learn the basic techniques of how to mind map, how to use mind map for remembering and recalling information, organizing of work, studying, revising and creative thinking.  Children also learn how to apply mind maps to English, Mathematics, Elementary Sciences, Art, Story-making, Reading, Environmental studies and personal development.  This programme provides a platform for pre-schoolers to engage in imagination, expose their talents, foster their creativity, sharpen their observations, build confidence and develop caring relationships and good habits, laying a solid foundation for life-long learning.  Learning will become fun, exciting and enjoyable.

MM011:

Mind Maps for

Art & Design

Emphasis is placed on design and planning of developing the artworks. Students are expected to plan and carry out a project from concept design to completion.  This programme will teach students how to use mind maps to explore interesting design ideas and strategies.  Students are encouraged to use mind maps to plan and design before diving into implementation.  Students will learn how to translate ideas into art pieces and how to use mind maps to present and evaluate the final artworks.

Philosophy for Children (P4C)

This programme is specially designed to improve children's thinking through introducing them to, and enabling them to investigate, many of the 'big questions' through community of inquiry.  Children learn to ask and construct questions, articulate reasons for what they think, to develop their own views, learn to respect, listen to and understand others’ views and develop the ability of self-correction and self-evaluation.  Philosophy for Children (P4C) improves critical, creative and rigorous thinking. Children develop their higher order thinking skills and the attitudes and dispositions necessary for good thinking. They improve their communication skills and their abilities to work with others.  P4C boosts children's self-esteem and intellectual confidence. 

PM001:

Project Management for Kids (PM4K)

This programme is designed to introduce children the concepts and theories of project management and show them how to apply these concepts to better organize and prepare their school assignments.  Through project-based assignments, children will expose and experience basic project management skills such as objective setting, analyzing, planning, scheduling, budgeting, controlling and reviewing.  PM4K programme can strongly improve children’s organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills, to better equip them to accomplish remarkable academic performance and be successful in managing everyday challenges.
